The Amalfi Coast is an endless cliff overlooking the sea, dotted with picturesque towns nestled in the mountains, among terraces of lemon trees and waterfalls of bougainvillea. Undoubtedly one of the most stunning stretches of coastline in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover this enchanting coastline by traveling from Rome by high-speed train in a group of no more than 15 people to Salerno.
Come to our meeting point and board the train to Salerno with our tour guide. Time will fly by, and once in Salerno, arrive at the port where you'll catch the ferry to Amalfi. Traveling by ferry is the best way to get from one place to another and enjoy the best views of the coast.
Enjoy the drive along the coast until you reach Amalfi, where we'll make a few stops. Arrive in Amalfi, the 'white city,' with an ancient seafaring tradition, to admire its beautiful Byzantine-Norman cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew. A paradise of spontaneous Mediterranean architecture, with its narrow streets resembling a kasbah and reminiscent of North Africa, Amalfi is not only famous for its lemons but also for being one of the most exclusive summer destinations in southern Italy. You'll have free time to explore the city, its public squares, shops, and cathedral.
Then, take another ferry and arrive at the most popular spot on the Amalfi Coast, Positano. Once there, you'll understand why. It's filled with colorful buildings, shops, and sandy beaches. Marina Grande beach is located at the base of Positano and is the town's most recognizable beach.
After spending approximately 2.5 hours in Positano, you'll return to Salerno by boat and head to the train station. Board your high-speed train, and you'll be in Rome around 8:30 PM. Notes: Please note that the tour DOES NOT INCLUDE hotel pick-up.
The tour ends at approximately 9:00 pm at the Rome train station.
