- Ascents to Cerro Campanario

Known for offering one of the most impressive panoramic views in all of Argentine Patagonia, Cerro Campanario is a must-see tourist spot for anyone visiting Bariloche. Located approximately 17 km from the city center, this natural viewpoint enchants travelers of all ages with its majestic mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and landscapes that seem to have come straight out of a postcard.
The ascent to Cerro can be done in two ways: hiking along a short but steep trail, or by cable car (for wheelchair users), which provides a comfortable ride with breathtaking views throughout the journey. In just a few minutes, you reach the summit, located approximately 1,050 meters above sea level.
From the viewpoint, well-structured observation points allow visitors to contemplate different angles of the region's main lakes — such as Nahuel Huapi, Moreno, and El Trébol — as well as iconic mountains like Cerro Catedral, Cerro López, and Cerro Otto. It's the perfect setting for unforgettable photos, moments of contemplation, and full contact with nature.
The place also features a charming rooftop café where you can relax, enjoy a hot chocolate or coffee, and continue admiring the stunning view.
Simple, accessible, and charming, Cerro Campanario is considered by many travelers to be one of the best viewpoints in the region. A quick experience, but one that leaves a lasting impression on any visit to Bariloche.
