If you're on a layover in GRU airport (or São Paulo), instead of wasting time in the departure lounge, get ready to spend a relaxing day exploring one of the most beautiful beaches on the São Paulo coast.
Spend the day by the sea, enjoying snacks, fresh seafood, local cuisine, and delicious caipirinhas. Go swimming, relax on the sand, work on your tan, and paddle board.
We visited the well-preserved Fort São João, built in 1547, which houses a permanent exhibition of ancient weapons, historical artifacts, statues and indigenous huts.
After a short walk along the coast to take in the sights and culture, take a complete change of pace with a boat ride to the charming and secluded Prainha Branca, 10 minutes away.
The paradisiacal beach is off the tourist circuit, surrounded by the region's characteristic vegetation, blue sea and white sand.
It's a great destination for those who want to escape the crowds and relax close to nature.
There's no better place to enjoy a sunny day than the beautiful, secluded beach of Praia Branca, in the coastal city of Guarujá, on the island of Santo Amaro. You'll love it. After pickup from GRU airport or your hotel in São Paulo, we'll head to the beach town of Bertioga, located 1 hour and 40 minutes from São Paulo. Once in Bertioga, we visit the well-preserved "Forte Satildeo Joatildeo," built in 1547, which houses a permanent exhibition of ancient weapons, historical artifacts, statues, and indigenous huts. In addition to its historical importance, the fort offers a wonderful view of the Bertioga canal and its coastline.
