The Thibon family arrived in Argentina in 1935, originally from Ardêche, France, where they dedicated themselves to grape growing. In 1938, they opened this establishment as a place to sell roasted and ground coffee. Café Thibon, with its unique aromas and flavors, was accepted and embraced by its valued customers. Later, gourmet products, wines, champagne, and select liqueurs were added. It is currently managed by the well-known bar 'El Gato Negro', which has incorporated its coffees, teas and spices to continue accompanying the growth of this great place, an icon of Buenos Aires culture.
