Take the opportunity to discover the city of Naples with a local guide who is passionate about Neapolitan traditions! This walking tour departs daily from Piazza Municipio, next to the Fountain of Neptune, and offers a unique immersion into the vibrant soul of the city.
During the tour, we will explore the heart of Naples, full of artistic influences left by different dominions over the centuries, since Greek and Roman times. We will visit Piazza del Plebiscito with the majestic Royal Palace, walk along the seafront with views of the bay and Mount Vesuvius, and enter the famous Pignasecca street food market, where we will stop to taste typical dishes of the local cuisine.
We’ll continue through the charming streets of the historic center, including the iconic “Spaccanapoli”. There, we’ll enter a craft shop to learn about the centuries-old tradition of Neapolitan nativity scenes — hand-crafted sculptures depicting scenes from the birth of Jesus that have been part of the city’s cultural identity for over a thousand years.
We end the tour with a visit to the Cathedral of Naples, the “Duomo”, where we will hear the impressive story of Saint Januarius and the famous miracle of the liquefaction of his blood.
