Enjoy the opportunity to discover the city of Naples with a local guide passionate about Neapolitan traditions! This walking tour departs daily from Piazza Municipio, next to the Fountain of Neptune, and offers a unique immersion into the city's vibrant soul.
During the tour, we'll explore the heart of Naples, brimming with artistic influences from various domains over the centuries, dating back to Greek and Roman times. We'll visit Piazza del Plebiscito with its majestic Royal Palace, stroll along the waterfront overlooking the bay and Mount Vesuvius, and visit the famous Pignasecca street food market, where we'll stop to sample some typical local dishes.
We'll continue through the charming streets of the historic center, including the iconic "Spaccanapoli." There, we'll pop into a craft shop to learn about the centuries-old tradition of Neapolitan nativity scenes—handcrafted sculptures depicting scenes from the birth of Jesus, which have been part of the city's cultural identity for over a thousand years.
We will end the tour with a visit to the Cathedral of Naples, the “Duomo”, where we will hear the impressive story of Saint Januarius and the famous miracle of the liquefaction of his blood.
