The most important cultural movement of the first half of the 20th century, Modern Art Week represented a true renewal of language, as art moved from the avant-garde to modernism. On this tour, passengers will experience a glimpse of the atmosphere of cultural change that the main artists of the period experienced. We will visit the most important places in the movement, such as the house of writer Mário de Andrade, which today houses a cultural workshop; Parque Mario Covas, where René Thiollier's house used to be; where the art week planning meetings were held; and Teatro Municipal de São Paulo, where the event was held.
Itinerary: Mário Covas Park (Paulista Avenue, the native forest of the place was listed and is original from the time) / Mário de Andrade's House (Barra Funda) / Oswald de Andrade's Waiter (Rua Líbero Badaró, 89) / Musical Dramatic Conservatory (Praça das Artes) / São Paulo Municipal Theater (Downtown) / Consolação Cemetery (site of the tomb of Oswald de Andrade, Mário de Andrade and Tarsila do Amaral)
Daily departures (Tuesday to Saturday, except holidays, includes an internal visit to the Casa de Mário de Andrade and the Teatro Municipal de São Paulo, subject to capacity). Duration: 4 hours. Tickets: All locations are free. Language: Portuguese, English or Spanish (tour guide included).
