No Alcatraz tickets? Don't worry. End the tour back on San Francisco's beautiful waterfront and enjoy magnificent views of Alcatraz Island and San Francisco Bay before embarking on a boat tour from Pier 39. The Escape from the Rock cruise will take you close to the infamous prison island from which many tried to escape. You'll circle the island twice, seeing it from every angle, as well as the beautiful city skyline. Keep an eye on the water; you might spot porpoises swimming by. They've returned to the bay. Notes: - The Escape from the Rock Bay cruise offers free boarding without a reserved time. Typical departure times are: 12:00 PM / 3:00 PM.
