- Santo Domingo City Tour
The first city in the Americas, Santo Domingo, is the capital of the Dominican Republic.
Full of colors, rhythms, flavors, and people who, with their smiles and hospitality, will make your visit a pleasant experience. Our tour begins after leaving the hotel zone, accompanied by a guide specialized in local history, who will introduce you to Dominican history. Our comfortable bus will provide maximum comfort, making your trip to our capital city more relaxing.
We'll visit the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, you'll find streets built over 500 years ago, the first Cathedral of the New World, built between 1523 and 1541, characterized by its Gothic architecture, and the Alcázar de Colón, awarded to Diego Colón, the eldest son of Christopher Columbus, the discoverer of the Americas, and built between 1511 and 1514.
The Ozama Fortress was the first fortified palace built during the Spanish era. Great Spanish conquistadors such as Hernán Cortés and Pedro de Alvarado passed through it. Other notable landmarks include: Calles las Damas, the Sun Clock, the National Pantheon, the House of Hernán Cortés, the House of Nicolás de Ovando, the Plaza de Cultura, the Ozama Fortress, Calle de las Mercedes, and craft kiosks.
Recharge your batteries at one of the area's best restaurants, where you can enjoy Dominican cuisine, including salads, fruits, cereals, soups, meats, fish, pasta, and more, all accompanied by water and soft drinks.
Did you think our tour was over? Well, on board the bus, you'll be able to see sites of great historical significance, such as the National Palace and the Columbus Lighthouse.
We guarantee that this tour will leave you enchanted by our beautiful country and culture.
