Religion is part of Maranhão's history and strong traditions are maintained by devotees.

In addition to being part of the city's rich architectural complex, the churches each tell their own story, dating back to the province's earliest times.

Route: Depart the hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and head straight to the Historic Center to visit the main churches with strong historical and cultural influences. At the end of the visit, we will attend a late afternoon mass at the Sé Church. Return to the hotel.

Main attractions: Church of Remedies, Church of Santo Antônio, Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Blacks, Church of Carmo and Church of Sé with mass celebration.
