Let's explore the charms of the Historic Center of RJ on this tour that will take us on a journey through time, passing through the most charming places in this historic neighborhood, visiting buildings that date from the colonial period to the beginning of the 20th century.
Our meeting point is at Praça XV, where we will begin a relaxed and engaging tour, passing by historic buildings such as the Paço Imperial, Palácio Tiradentes, several churches and much more.
Along the way, we’ll make strategic stops to rest our legs and capture some amazing photos. In addition to the history, we’ll share lots of fascinating facts. And of course, we’ll do some reflecting, but we’ll also have a good laugh.
Our journey will take us past historic buildings and culminate in a visit to the most beautiful library in the Marvelous City: the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura, an imposing neo-Gothic building inaugurated by Princess Isabel in 1887, which houses the largest collection of Portuguese books outside of Portugal.
