- Downtown New York City Photo Tour
New York is the city that never sleeps. You've probably seen something about the Big Apple at least once, whether in movies, TV shows, cartoons, newspapers, etc. But New York is much more than just towering buildings and bright lights.
The southern part of Manhattan, Downtown, is a sea of history, culture and, of course, the charm of the city.
We begin our tour at the imposing World Trade Center, the largest building in New York and the Western Hemisphere. Reigning supreme among NYC's giants, the World Trade Center is surrounded by numerous landmarks. The first is the subway station, located inside the Oculus sculpture/mall.
It draws attention for its sculptural construction by Santiago Calatrava. Besides being beautiful and with its meaning imprinted on its structure, the Oculus station holds the record for being the most expensive in the world, costing approximately $4 billion.
Right next to the station is the Former Twin Towers Museum and Memorial. This is a highly respected space among Americans and is always filled with tributes to those who lost their lives and those who fought to save them.
Finally, the main attraction, the new World Trade Center. This one needs no introduction; its size speaks for itself. The building also boasts a huge observatory packed with attractions at its top. From there, you can enjoy unparalleled views of the entire island of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.
Yes, all of that, because the observatory is 360 degrees.
Leaving the WTC area, we have New York's financial district, the famous Wall St. Who hasn't seen the famous Wall St. bull statue?
Then, very close by, we have the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge. Opened in 1883, it was the world's first steel suspension bridge and, for a long time, the only route between Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The three most incredible neighborhoods in New York are: Soho, Chinatown, and Little Italy. Soho, the most elegant neighborhood in New York, is a neighborhood dedicated to art, culture, and design. In addition to unique, high-end shops and galleries, it boasts a unique architecture, full of buildings with cast iron facades.
Soho has classic, old-school restaurants with cuisine to suit all tastes.
Finally, we arrived in Little Italy, this charming little piece of Italy in the middle of NYC. Romantic dinner? Cozy restaurants? Good food and plenty of wine? Yes, we have it here!
Little Italy is a must-see to savor true delights and enjoy the romantic atmosphere that surrounds the place.
New York has this and much more to offer. If you're thinking about visiting the most sought-after city in the world, don't miss this special experience in Manhattan's oldest and most charming neighborhood.
