TourEmbu das Artes - the artistic city

Embu das Artes is located within the Greater São Paulo region, about 30 minutes from downtown São Paulo.

It was founded in the 17th century as a Jesuit settlement. For more than three centuries, the town remained inhospitable and unknown, and only in the 20th century did it become recognized as an artistic hub, attracting visitors. The town still preserves cobblestone streets, craft shops and rustic furniture, colonial-era buildings, and excellent dining options.

Our tour of the historic center of Embu das Artes includes:

* Visit to the Museum of Sacred Art, located in the Jesuit priests' building - the oldest in the city (tickets not included);

* Visit the best craft shops, with the most varied souvenirs;

* Visit the store that sells a wide variety of cachaças (Brazilian rum)

This tour is even more interesting when taken on weekends, when the Embu das Artes Crafts Fair takes place - one of the most famous of its kind in the region, which has been running for about 30 years, attracting people from all over Brazil.
