Rio Carnival Rehearsal: Samba School, Culture, Traditional Music and Dance

What does Rio do in the months leading up to the official Carnival parades? To prepare for the colorful Carnival parades in February, the samba schools undergo extensive preparation, beginning in June.

Experience the flavor of Carnival with a guided tour of a thrilling rehearsal, where you'll experience the passion that unites all Brazilians. Immerse yourself in one of Brazil's most interactive cultural expressions, dancing, singing, and applauding with fans in one of the samba school pavilions all night long.

Before rehearsal, immerse yourself in the culture of samba and Carnival by participating in workshops where you'll take your first steps in samba dancing with professional dancers, and even learn a little about playing the main Carnival instruments with talented musicians.

After the workshops, enjoy the official rehearsal on the dance floor with dancers, drummers and flag bearers.

Learn about the history of samba and the school's community, as well as its main projects.

RIO SUL PICK-UP (South only) and city center:

Pick-up will be between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, but we will contact each tourist the day before the tour to arrange a more precise pick-up time.

Pick-up will be made in the following neighborhoods:

- Leblon

- Ipanema

- Copacabana

- City center (some hotels in downtown Rio)

At the end of the event, around 2am, our guide will take you back to your address safely.
