- Entrance to Sainte-Chapelle

In the heart of Paris, we'll explore the magnificent Sainte-Chapelle, a jewel of Gothic architecture built in the 13th century by order of King Louis IX. Located on the Île de la Cité, just steps from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the chapel was built to house precious sacred relics, such as Christ's Crown of Thorns.
The highlight of the visit are the impressive 15 monumental stained-glass windows, which cover almost the entire wall of the upper chapel. With over 600 m² of stained glass, they depict over a thousand biblical scenes in vibrant hues of blue, red, and gold, creating a light show that transforms the interior into a veritable medieval kaleidoscope.
In addition to its artistic and spiritual value, the Sainte-Chapelle represents a landmark of Gothic engineering and aesthetics, with its slender structure, high arches, and richly ornate details that delight visitors to this day.
