You'll board one of our air-conditioned buses in front of the agency in central Paris at 7:15 a.m. A receptionist will accompany you and provide you with all the information you need to ensure you have a stress-free day.
After a drive through typical French countryside, you'll arrive at the foot of Mont-Saint-Michel around 11:45 a.m. Take time for lunch at nearby restaurants before catching the shuttle to Mont Saint-Michel.
The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Begin your visit by winding through the picturesque alleys until you reach the famous Abbey. Thanks to the entrance ticket provided by your guide, you can explore this wonderful Benedictine building, built in the 8th century, at your own pace. The Gothic-style architecture of the Abbey, dedicated to the Archangel Saint-Michel, houses a magnificent inner courtyard suspended between the sky and the sea. The arcades of the galleries are supported by slanted columns, adding light and airiness to the building. Passing behind the courtyard, you can reach the impressive refectory, where the monks gathered to eat in silence.
After visiting the abbey, be sure to stroll through the streets along the protective wall, which offer a stunning panorama of the bay. You'll be captivated by the breathtaking view of the vast sands surrounding the rock. You can also enjoy some of Mont's specialties (the famous Breton crepes, for example), browse the souvenir shops, watch the village's lively activities, and, if time permits, visit a few museums.
The return to Paris is scheduled for 4:30 pm, arriving in the capital, at our agency, at 9:15 pm. Notes: Please note that the tour does NOT include pick-up from your hotel.
