We will explore Mount Etna in a unique and special way, ideal for families and for those who are fascinated by the mysteries of volcanoes — especially if we are accompanied by someone passionate about this universe. We will begin our journey from the Sapienza Refuge, at the southern station of Etna, and follow a trail of approximately 3 km, lasting about two hours, climbing to an altitude of 2,100 meters.
During the tour, we will walk through inactive lateral craters and learn about the impressive eruptions of 2001 and 2002, while admiring landscapes that look like the moon. The experience can be adjusted according to our pace and interests, making the tour even more personalized and enjoyable.
After the trail, we will visit a cave formed by volcanic lava, an incredible opportunity to feel the raw power of nature up close. And to end the day on a high note, we will enjoy a delicious tasting of four IGP wines produced on the slopes of Mount Etna, accompanied by a typical Sicilian lunch with homemade dishes — such as caponata, parmesan, a selection of cheeses and other specialties that celebrate the tradition and flavors of the region.
