ITINERARY
Meeting point: McDonald's in Parque Kennedy - 5am
Once in Paracas, they will have time for a quick snack/breakfast.
Next, we'll take a speedboat ride to the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas Islands are home to playful sea lions and a variety of bird species. Learn about the history of Paracas, our famous bird droppings, and the 'Mysterious Spider.'
If you don't want to take the boat tour, while your group is on the boat tour touring the islands, you can have a different experience.
For a supplement of US$16 (per person), take a 2-hour ATV tour to the National Reserve (entrance fee included).
Enjoy a fun and unique tour with stunning views of the reserve, where the ocean meets the desert. If you choose the ATV experience, please note that it replaces the boat excursion; you won't be able to do both.
On the way to Huacachina, we'll stop at a traditional Peruvian Pisco vineyard, where you'll have the opportunity to participate in a wine and Pisco tasting. While at the vineyard, the group will enjoy an authentic experience.
After lunch, it's best to hold on tight for an adventure to the unique Huacachina, an oasis hidden among towering sand dunes. Feel the adrenaline rush as we speed down the slopes in our dune buggies. Once at the top of the dune, grab a sandboard and speed down the dunes—an experience you'll never forget.
As the sun begins to set, we'll find the perfect spot in the dunes to relax and watch the sunset. Take a moment to appreciate and reflect on this incredible day. After sunset, you'll have time for dinner and continue with your guide back to Lima.
Once in Lima, we will drop you off at the meeting point. Notes: - Reservations can be made up to the day before departure.
- The order of excursions may vary depending on weather conditions, river levels, arrival or departure times, or any other relevant reason. Please note that the Paracas port may be closed due to weather conditions. This decision is made by the Navy and applies to all tour operators and travel agencies. If the port is closed, don't worry; we have a backup plan: a visit to the Paracas National Reserve.
- If you choose the ATV experience, please be aware that it replaces the boat tour; you will not be able to do both activities.
- The dune buggy and sandboarding tour is considered an extreme and adrenaline-pumping experience. You might feel like you're on a roller coaster as you race across the dunes. Please keep this in mind, and if you prefer a more leisurely ride, please let us know in advance.
- We have no control over Mother Nature; most days in Huacachina are beautiful and sunny. However, there may be cloudy days without a sunset.
- Participants will have time to purchase a snack or breakfast in Paracas.
- Participants can pre-book a packed dinner upon arrival in Huacachina and pick it up before returning to Lima.
- Participants will have to climb a small dune to reach the buggies.
- For a stand up sandboarding position, professional boards can be rented in Huacachina for an additional fee.
- The success of this experience is based on teamwork, arriving on time for activities throughout the day.
- The buggy is only driven by a professional driver.
