We'll meet at the main entrance of the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important museums in Latin America, and learn about the Mayan, Mexica, and Toltec cultures and how they influence and contribute to Mexican society. We'll see the museum's numerous artifacts, including the Sun Stone and a replica of a Mayan tomb, and delve into Mexico's pre-Columbian heritage.
To continue our visit, we'll head to Bosque de Chapultepec, a vast urban park in downtown Mexico City that's home to Chapultepec Castle, perched atop a hill 2,325 meters above sea level. You'll be in one of the largest and most visited urban parks in the Americas! We'll enter the castle, which served as the Imperial Palace and Presidential Residence until 1940, and learn about the country's colonial and imperial history.
Stroll through the property's numerous halls and rooms, admiring the large number of sculptures and paintings of historical figures. Admire the murals created by 20th-century Mexican artists, including David Alfaro Siqueiros, depicting the fall of the Empire, the Revolution, and Mexico's independence. Stroll through the castle gardens and enjoy incredible panoramic views of the city.
