The main objective of the hike is to reach Pedra Grande, a 1,010-meter-high viewpoint about 5 kilometers from the park's main entrance (10 km round-trip walk), where visitors can enjoy one of the most splendid views of São Paulo.
To reach the Pedra Grande Viewpoint, visitors walk along dirt roads uphill, on trails of easy difficulty and surrounded by native forest, lush landscape, small waterfalls and animals, mainly monkeys.
About an hour and a half's walk from the park's main entrance lies a beautiful lake. Take a break at the edge and continue for another thirty minutes to the viewpoint.
Once at the top of the Pedra Grande rest area, enjoy incredible views that encompass the entire vastness of São Paulo, looking across the valleys towards the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere.
