Departing Edinburgh, our Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands tour continues to Stirling, where you'll see Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. We then continue to Callander for breakfast in this bustling town known as the gateway to the Highlands. The bus then heads north into the Highlands, passing Rannoch Moor, before stopping at the dark and brooding Glencoe Pass, a beautiful photo spot and where your driver/guide will tell you the chilling story of the infamous massacre of 1692.
After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish, we'll stop for lunch near Fort William before following the Caledonian Canal through the Great Glen to Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Here, you can sail the loch for about an hour on the award-winning Loch Ness Cruise, or enjoy the scenery of the tranquil lakeside village. Please note that this portion of the tour may be subject to change due to weather conditions during the winter months.
After a stop at Fort Augustus and Loch Ness, the tour returns to Edinburgh. We'll pass Loch Laggan, the setting for the internationally acclaimed television show 'Monarch of the Glen,' before stopping in picturesque Pitlochry, a charming Victorian resort town. Passing through Perth and the Kingdom of Fife, we'll cross the Forth Crossing along the magnificent Forth Railway Bridge, before arriving in Scotland's capital with a million memories and photos.
