We left Huaraz by private bus around 5:00 am heading north of Huaraz, passing through very picturesque places like Carhuaz, Mancos Ranrahirca and Yungay (a city with a tragic history, as in 1970 it suffered a major earthquake that buried most of the city).
Once the collection was complete, we headed towards Callejón de Huaylas, where we stopped at approximately 7:30 am for breakfast.

Afterwards, we continue our journey and pass through the Llanganuco ravine, where we will enjoy views of the Chinancocha (female lagoon) and the Orconcocha (male lagoon).
Arriving in Yuraccorra, we will begin the walk that will take us approximately 3 hours to reach Laguna 69 (4604m) where we will have free time to enjoy the view.
At the lagoon we will take a break and also have lunch, where we will have a magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains Chacraraju, Pisco, Huascaran 6768 meters above sea level (the highest mountain in Peru).
