ITINERARY
Day 1: CANOPY / VISIT TO A NATIVE FAMILY / LAKE SANDOVAL
Pick up at the airport or bus station, transfer to the river port (Puerto Capitania), one hour boat ride downriver.
Next, we will visit a native family, where we will learn about their culture.
Afterwards, we will go to a restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we'll travel about 30 minutes to reach a 27-meter-high tower, which will allow us to reach a suspension bridge. We'll cross the bridge between 89-meter-high trees, at a height of 37 meters, amid the main branches of an ancient tree. This will be a great opportunity to see animals that are impossible to see from the ground.
Next, we prepare for a pure adrenaline experience: ziplining. We'll feel like birds as we soar along a cable, traveling over 190 meters in just a few seconds.
Next, we'll reach another suspension bridge, over 75 meters long and 27 meters high, and then slide down another 160-meter cable. We guarantee 100% safety, fun, and adrenaline during this adventure.
We will then travel by boat to the Sandoval oxbow lake, and from there we will enter the Tambopata National Reserve on foot.
After the entry checkpoint, we'll hike for about an hour and a half until we reach Maloka Sandoval Lodge, where we'll stay in our rooms near the lake. The accommodation has private bathrooms and showers.
In the afternoon, we will explore the eyes of alligators.
Day 2: MACAW PALM LICK/ SWIMMING IN THE LAKE
We'll wake up early to visit the Macaw Palm, a special place near the National Reserve where different types of macaws and parrots will feed on the dead palms. Palms are rich in minerals such as calcium, sodium, potassium, and so on, which are essential for digestion.
Then we returned to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, we will take a tour to see the fantastic flora and, along the way, we may see some mammals, such as monkeys, deer, peccaries, tapirs, sloths, anteaters, etc.
Then we returned to the inn for lunch.
After lunch, we can swim in the lake.
Next, we will visit Lake Sandoval by canoe, where we will see the diverse flora and fauna surrounding the lake.
Then we returned to the lodge for dinner.
After dinner, we can take a walk to see nocturnal animals such as: nocturnal birds, insects, spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs, etc.
Overnight in our comfortable accommodation.
