TourMarcapomacocha - Lake Route

Fall in love with the landscapes offered by the mountains of our beautiful Peru, enjoy a cup of coca tea high up in the mountains, and visit the Carispaccha waterfall in Marcapomacocha.

ITINERARY

Departure at 5 am from Lima.

We begin our adventure towards the province of Yauli, in Junin, to visit a magical place in the Andes, the route of the 'Marcapomacocha' lagoons.

We'll make a few acclimatization stops to enjoy the beautiful Andean landscapes, adjusting to the change in altitude. From there, we'll gaze upon this impressive and imposing snow-capped mountain, the highest in the Cordillera Viuda, at over 5,200 meters above sea level.

We'll do breathing exercises as we hike to Carispaccha Waterfall and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Along the way, we'll spot alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and sheep.

We'll descend (optional) to the first drop of the waterfall, which has three drops and measures over 30 meters. You'll be able to take incredible photos.

In Marcapomacocha we will participate in a payment ceremony to Pachamama.

We continue our tour, observing the imposing beauty of Yantac Lagoon, and then we reach the foot of the mountain range and learn the origin of its name, being able to admire Chuchun Lagoon.

Finally, this adventure ends at 4:30 pm when we return to Lima, with the satisfaction of having lived a unique experience in the heights of Marcapomacocha and the Cordillera la Viuda.
