The Tour de los Dones is a productive project initiative of the Dondes de Misericordia Foundation. In addition to generating training and income for the tour team members, who make up 100% of the island community, all contributions received from the tour go to Dones Azulado, a magnificent early childhood education project in Tierra Bomba, which you will visit during your visit. Routes to choose from: Route 1: Beach Route (beginner) duration: 2 hours - 12 km. We begin at Choloncito Cove heading towards the town of Punta Arena, skirting the island's north beach, with incredible views of Cartagena. Route 2: Castle Route (intermediate level) 2.5 hours - 19 km. Departing from the center of Tierra Bomba, you will visit Playa Linda, where the locals fish with lungfish using ancestral techniques. Then, we will walk along the traditional road that connects Tierra Bomba with Bocachica, to reach the area of hotels and recreation houses with breathtaking views. Halfway through our tour is the San Fernando Fort, built in colonial times to defend Cartagena Bay. We'll uncover its best-kept secrets. Route 3: Cyclist's Route (Advanced) 3 hours 22 km. In addition to exploring the areas of Playa Linda with its traditional fishing, following the traditional path to reach impressive cliffs, and delving into the mysteries of the San Fernando Fortress, the advanced tour also invites you to explore the highest part of the island, where you'll find another fortified battery from the colonial era with 360-degree views of the bay and the open sea, from where they spotted the arrival of pirate ships.
