Start with a stroll through Lima's Plaza Mayor, passing landmarks like the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the historic San Francisco Church. Then, venture into Pueblo Libre to delve into Peru's pre-Inca history through the Larco Museum's extensive private collection, featuring over 30,000 remarkable artifacts.

ITINERARY

Pick up from your hotel.

Panoramic bus tour of the main tourist attractions in Lima's Historic Center. Places to visit include Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Martin, Plaza del Congreso, and others.

Next, we'll head to the Larco Museum, founded in 1926 and located in the Pueblo Libre neighborhood. It's housed in an 18th-century AD colonial mansion and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We'll visit the Rafael Larco Archaeological Museum, the most important museum of its kind in Lima and one of the best in Latin America. The museum offers a comprehensive overview of Peru's diverse native cultures, from pre-Inca times to the early colonial period.

The museum is also famous for its collection of so-called erotic huacos.

The tour also includes a visit to the traditional Pueblo Libre neighborhood, the district where the museum is located.

Return to your hotel in Miraflores or San Isidro.
