Depart Tel Aviv and explore Jerusalem from past to present with a walking tour of the Old City, including a visit to Mount Zion and the ancient Cardo. The tour will take you to the Stations of the Cross on the way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Western Wall, which has stood since 70 BC. Then, continue by modern car to the New City and visit Yad Vashem.
Itinerary:
-Departure from the selected hotel for a fascinating tour of the holy city of Jerusalem.
We'll begin with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, highlighting key sites with a brief explanation of the city's past and present.
-We'll continue with a walking tour of the Old City. We'll enter the ancient walled city on foot, passing through one of the main gates from ancient times.
- The tour includes visits to Mount Zion and the ancient Cardo, an integral component of the city's planning, filled with shops and vendors that served as the center of economic life.
-We will do the Stations of the Cross on our way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which includes the tombs of Calvary and the Resurrection.
- We will stop at the Western (Wailing) Wall, a section of the Temple Mount retaining wall that has remained intact since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 BC
- The tour continues by car through the New City with a visit to Yad Vashem*, the Holocaust Museum.
-At the end of the day, I will come back to drop you off at your hotel.
