TourPalenque from Cartagena

Until the 1960s, there was no connecting road between the main road and San Basilio de Palenque. This is why the Palanquero Creole language, which is spoken nowhere else in the world, has been preserved. This is one of the reasons it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. Palenque has a fascinating history and is the birthplace of many styles of Afro-Colombian music and dance.
