- Johannesburg City Tour
On this full-day city tour of Johannesburg, we'll have the opportunity to delve into South Africa's recent history, visiting iconic sites of the struggle against apartheid and the resistance of the South African people. We'll begin with a visit to Constitutional Hill, the former British Fort prison, which now houses one of the country's most symbolic centers of memory and justice.
Next, we'll explore the impressive Apartheid Museum, which offers a profound reflection on the years of racial segregation. Along the way, we'll make a stop outside at the FNB Stadium, where important political and sporting events took place. The experience continues in Soweto, where we'll experience local life at a traditional street market, before continuing to Vilakazi Street, the only street in the world where two Nobel Peace Prize winners lived—Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
We will visit Mandela House, now a museum, and the moving Hector Pieterson Memorial, which honors one of the symbols of the 1976 student uprising. Finally, we will return to the hotel.
