Depart the hotel and head towards the North Coast. From there, you'll embark for the paradisiacal Areia Vermelha 'island,' located 1.5 km off the coast. The 'islands' are reddish sandbanks surrounded by natural pools, where the water reaches waist-deep. There are boats selling snacks, fried fish, and drinks.
