- Stories and Landscapes of Rio: Walk along Aterro do Flamengo
Get ready for a unique immersion into the soul of Rio de Janeiro!
The "Stories and Landscapes of Rio" tour combines art, memory and natural beauty in a 4-hour walk through Aterro do Flamengo — one of the largest urban parks in the world and a true symbol of the city.
During the tour, we will discover historical and architectural landmarks that reveal different layers of Brazil's history, while admiring stunning views of Guanabara Bay.
Our starting point is the iconic Museum of Modern Art (MAM), an example of Brazilian modernist architecture. Next, we will visit the Monument to the Pracinhas, the Marina da Glória and its panoramic deck, where the sea meets the daily life of Rio.
We continue to the Monument to Estácio de Sá, the site of the founding of the city of Rio de Janeiro, and take a break at the charming Carmen Miranda Museum, dedicated to the eternal “remarkable little girl”.
The tour continues through the elegant Casa Julieta de Serpa, a symbol of Rio's Belle Époque, and ends with a surprising view of the Caixa d'Água on Morro da Viúva, where Rio reveals itself from a little-known angle.
An experience that combines nature, art, history and emotion — ideal for those who want to fall in love (even more) with Rio.
