- **Classic City Tour of Santiago:**
We'll begin with a panoramic visit to the Mercado Central, where you can admire the local architecture and learn a little more about its history. Next, we'll head to the Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city, where we'll admire the imposing Santiago Cathedral with its colonial architecture. However, the cathedral may be closed due to a special event or activity. We'll continue with a walk to the Mint Palace, the seat of the Chilean government, and the Plaza de la Constitución, where we'll learn more about Chile's history and its institutions. Depending on the month and day, you may be able to witness the Changing of the Guard, a solemn event that takes place regularly, but this stop may be skipped due to internal activities at the Mint Palace. Next, we'll head to Cerro Santa Lucía, one of the city's most iconic hills, where we'll stop for a short walk and enjoy the panoramic views of Santiago.
We'll continue our tour with a panoramic visit to the iconic Lastarría and Bellavista neighborhoods, known for their cultural, gastronomic, and artistic offerings, offering a panoramic view of local life. It's the perfect place to soak up Santiago's atmosphere and historic charm.
Our tour continues to Bicentenary Park, a beautiful green space where you will have time for a relaxing walk in a natural setting.
Optionally, if passengers prefer, we can arrange a visit to Bluestone, a shop selling lapis lazuli, Chile's national stone, where we can admire and/or purchase beautiful local jewelry and handicrafts.
The tour will end with drop-off at your hotel, at the entrance to Cerro San Cristóbal, or at Patio Bellavista.
Day 02: Historic Valparaíso and Viña del Mar**
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel and a panoramic drive through the Curacaví Valley and the Casablanca Valley, known for their landscapes and vineyards. We'll continue to Valparaíso, Chile's picturesque port, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. Here, we'll take a guided walk through the colorful Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, two of the city's most traditional neighborhoods, famous for their narrow streets, murals, and spectacular views.
We'll visit the iconic Plaza Sotomayor, in the historic heart of Valparaíso, and then head to the Reloj de Flores, one of Viña del Mar's most iconic attractions.
We'll have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included). Afterwards, we'll head to one of Viña del Mar's beautiful beaches, where you'll have time to enjoy the coastal scenery.
At the end of the tour, we will return to Santiago, dropping you off directly at your accommodation.
