You will have to go to Cosme Velho station to board the train to Rio's biggest attraction: the Christ the Redeemer Statue at the top of Corcovado Mountain.
Upon arrival at Cosme Velho station at the foot of Corcovado Mountain, you'll board the train with pre-booked tickets to save time and travel to the top, through the dense Tijuca Forest, to the 38-meter-tall (125-foot) Christ the Redeemer Statue. The 20-minute ride will give you the opportunity to fully appreciate the Tijuca Forest, considered the largest urban forest in the world and representing 7% of the city's territory.
Upon reaching the Statue, you'll have two options for reaching the top: by elevator and then escalator, or the traditional 222-step climb. But the effort is worth it. As soon as you reach the foot of the Statue, the view and grandeur of Christ the Redeemer will amaze you with its sheer beauty! Looking up, you'll feel blessed and protected by this beautiful monument with open arms, now one of the Seven Wonders of the World! From there, you can see much of the city, the entire South Zone, and even Niterói. A unique view that will amaze you. Take the opportunity to appreciate all sides and views of Corcovado and take photos that will immortalize this unforgettable visit.
