After exploring the Painted Room, venture into the Nelson Room to see where Vice Admiral Lord Nelson's body was taken to be laid to rest after the Battle of Trafalgar. You'll learn about Lord Nelson's life, his connection to Greenwich, his role in the Battle of Trafalgar, and much more. The room itself is spectacular, boasting unique architecture, stonework, and marble floors.
The tour includes a guided tour of the exquisite Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul. Considered one of the most beautiful neoclassical interiors in existence, this is another must-see attraction. Rebuilt after a terrible fire, the chapel features naval themes, a spectacular altarpiece and pulpit, and a stunning ceiling with pale blue and cream squares and octagons.
Test your skills at one of the UK's oldest Victorian bowling alleys, originally built to entertain retired Navy men in 1864. Notes: Tour times:
