You'll also pass through Santa Teresa and its unique and charming architecture and visit the famous Selaron Steps. A van will pick you up and drop you off at most hotels in Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana.
On the tour, we'll make the most of your time by showing you three of Rio's biggest attractions, leaving you with more free time to explore Rio's many other wonders. This is an excellent way to see the best of Rio if your time in the city is limited.
After hotel pickup, the van takes you through the dense Tijuca rainforest to Corcovado Mountain to the 38-meter-tall Christ the Redeemer statue. Your guide has 40 to 50 minutes to show you Rio's wonderful sights. From the summit, enjoy spectacular views of Rio and the surrounding landscape.
After getting off the van, you'll pass through charming Santa Teresa before reaching Sugarloaf Mountain.
On the way to Sugarloaf Mountain, you'll discover Santa Teresa, a neighborhood with a completely different vibe from the rest of Rio. Here, Old Rio comes to life. Santa Teresa is a neighborhood where relaxation and tradition meet. But it also boasts street art, such as the incredible Escadaria Selaron. The beautiful ceramic steps by artist Jorge Selarón are unique. You'll have about 10 minutes to admire them before continuing your tour back to your hotel or continuing on to Sugarloaf Mountain.
Afterward, if you've chosen this option, you'll travel to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain in two cable car rides. The first cable car takes you to Morro da Urca, a 215-meter-high viewpoint offering beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. From this stage, a second cable car takes you to the summit. At 395 meters, you'll have splendid views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fort, and several beaches in Niterói. Enjoy this magnificent landscape for about 45 minutes before descending to catch the shuttle bus back to your hotel. If your visit is in the afternoon, prepare for the spectacular sunset at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.
