The city of Aparecida is located in the Paraíba Valley region, 166 km from the city of São Paulo. It is home to the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida, the largest Marian shrine in the world, receiving seven million pilgrims annually and considered the largest Marian shrine in the world. On this tour, visitors will visit the Passarela da Fé (Faith Walkway), the Old Basilica, built in 1888, and the New Basilica, built in 1980 and consecrated by Pope John Paul II. There, visitors will find the image of Brazil's patron saint, as well as the Chapel of Candles, the Room of Miracles, the brand-new cable car and Morro do Cruzeiro (Cruzeiro Hill) and the Memorial of Devotion.
