- Regular Combo: Tour of El Escorial, Vale and Toledo
A half-day tour full of history and culture.
We will leave Madrid in a comfortable bus with an official guide and head towards the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
During the trip, our guide will introduce us to the history and context of the monastery, built in the 16th century by Philip II.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the different rooms in the complex, such as the Royal Palace, the Basilica and the Pantheon of the Kings.
We will be able to admire the austere and grand architecture of the monastery, as well as its impressive works of art, such as paintings by El Greco and Titian.
After visiting the Escorial, we will go to the Valley of the Fallen, a monumental complex built in the mountains of Madrid to commemorate those who died in the Spanish Civil War.
We will visit the Basilica, an impressive construction carved into the rock, and the external terrace, where there is an enormous cross 150 meters high.
Once in Toledo and accompanied by our guide at the destination, we will climb the Mirador del Vale to contemplate the city from a unique perspective.
We will visit an authentic Damascene workshop and walk through its cobbled streets to discover the fascinating mix of cultures that make it an open-air museum.
We will walk through Plaza de Zocodover, the heart of the city, and experience its lively atmosphere.
We will admire from the outside the majestic and imposing architecture of the Primate Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece that houses countless artistic treasures.
We will walk through the labyrinth of the Jewish Quarter, breathing in the atmosphere of Sepharad in its synagogues and museums.
