We’ll explore Mount Etna in a unique and special way, perfect for families and anyone who’s curious about volcanoes — especially if you’re accompanied by someone who loves volcanoes. We’ll start our walking tour from the Sapienza Refuge, the southern station of Mount Etna.
We will follow a trail of approximately 3 km, which will last about two hours, climbing up to 2,100 meters in altitude. During the hike, we will visit inactive lateral craters, learn about the eruptions of 2001-2002 and see landscapes that look like they came straight out of a lunar landscape — an otherworldly experience, literally.
The tour can be customized to best suit your interests and pace. After the trail, we will visit a cave formed by a volcanic eruption, an incredible opportunity to understand more about the power of nature.
We will end our day with a small tasting of wines and local products, to celebrate the cultural and gastronomic richness of the region.
