- The Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia
Let's discover this magnificent place on a full-day tour. Explore the Göreme Museum; It is made up of numerous churches carved into rock from the second half of the 9th century, with beautiful and colorful frescoes decorating the walls. Then the Valley of Devrent; famous for its rocks with peculiar animal shapes. It looks like a zoo of sculptures made by nature. There is even a stone column that looks like the Virgin Mary holding Jesus Christ. Admire the unique lunar landscape of the valley and feel like you are in another world. After; Pasabagi, which means: Pacha's vineyard. This place is also called the Valley of the Monks. Here was the hermitage of the Simeon monks. A chapel dedicated to Saint Simeon (Simon) and a hermit's shelter were built in one of the three-headed fairy chimneys. Pasabagi Valley contains some of Cappadocia's most impressive fairy chimneys, with twin and even triple rock layers. This style is unique even in Cappadocia, and these fairy chimneys are called mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys.
Then, Avanos; where you will enjoy a typical Turkish lunch and the experience of making pottery with local experts. We then continue to Göreme Panorama, which has one of the best panoramic views of the fairy chimneys. Afterwards, Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia, offers a magnificent panoramic view of the surroundings. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
