Activity description
Once the retreat begins, participants can return periodically to continue their learning of the palos or master plants.
In Traditional Medicine, the Diet is a demanding process of cleansing and purifying the body and spirit, based on medicinal plants and a meticulous traditional diet. Its essence is learning, a direct connection with the spirits of the plants, and the progressive mastery of the mind, in order to achieve a greater understanding of the spiritual world. Treatments vary according to each person's needs. The healer will select the plant to be fed on a case-by-case basis.
For an individual to learn the path of the master plants, they must first purify themselves. The ideal setting is a remote location, a solitary cabin, surrounded by nature for a minimum of 15 days, without electricity, television, or any element of daily life that distracts the mind. The intensity and duration of the regimen will depend on each participant's confidence, intention, and desire to learn. The encounter with the plant spirits occurs primarily during waking and dreaming. The healer gains power and knowledge through the diets; the more diets, the more power and knowledge of the plant spirits, because this knowledge will have been permanently installed within the aspiring healer. Because they, besides healing us, teach us.
