We'll meet in front of the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. Before departing, you'll meet your knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide and fellow travelers! Our exciting day trip will begin by traveling through the terrain of southern Ireland. Leaving the city behind, we'll soon pass through an area known as 'The Curragh' within County Kildare. This region is absolutely perfect for raising and training horses.
We arrive at Blarney Castle, which is the highlight of the tour for most. Blarney Castle is known worldwide for its famous Blarney Stone. Kiss the stone and receive the 'gift of gab.' Blarney Castle isn't just about the Stone; Blarney Castle itself is worth exploring, as are its fantastic lush gardens and forest walks. There's plenty to see and explore. See Rock Close and find the Wishing Steps to make a wish!
You'll have the chance to discover the Rock of Cashel, considered one of the Seven Wonders of Ireland. This is a site of immense historical importance, as it was the residence of the King of Munster. This site was a fortress dating back to before the Anglo-Norman conquerors ruled the land. Not to mention, there's an extensive collection of historical, architectural, and artistic pieces gathered here.
For your final stop, take a guided tour of one of Ireland's largest castles, Cahir Castle, located along the River Suir in Co. Tipperary. Built by Conor O'Brien, Prince of Thomand in the 13th century.
We'll arrive at one of the Seven Wonders of Ireland—the Rock of Cashel! Here we'll explore Vicars' Hall, Cormack's Chapel, the Celtic Cathedral, the Round Tower, and the surrounding grounds dotted with ancient high crosses!
