- Cerro Tronador and Ventisquero Negro Glacier
Cerro Tronador, with a maximum altitude of 3,478 meters above sea level, is located in the southern part of the Andes mountain range and has been covered by glaciers for millions of years.
This imposing mountain, called Anón by the indigenous people, is the highest point in the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Its current name, Tronador, alludes to the rumblings caused by the frequent falls of its enormous blocks of ice.
