The tour begins in the Founding Area of Mendoza, the heart of the historic center of the Old City. We then head to the New City, where we will visit several squares and the Civic Center, where the Flag of the Army of the Andes is located, the ultimate symbol of the liberation campaign and considered the first independent flag of South America.
We continue on to General San Martín Park, known as the city’s green lung, which currently covers 307 hectares of cultivated areas, 17 kilometers of paths and 82 hectares of expanse. In the park, we can admire several water fountains with delicate architecture and of varying sizes, all surrounded by lush vegetation. We end the tour at Cerro de la Gloria, where the historic monument to the Army of the Andes is located, a tribute to the successful liberation campaign.
