TourMontevideo City Tour

We will visit the main tourist attractions, starting with the Old City. We will begin with one of the most representative buildings, the Banco República building, and continue to Plaza Zabala, with its Taranco Palace, now the Museum of Decorative Arts. We will pass by the Stock Exchange building and the Artigas building, arriving at Plaza Matriz (Photo Stop). We will see the square, the Cabildo national historical monument, and the Cathedral. A few meters away, we will reach Plaza Independencia, where the monument to our hero José Gervasio Artigas is located, as well as the Salvo Palace, the Esteves Palace, the old Citadel Gate, the Executive Tower, and the Solís Theatre (Photo Stop).

We will continue along the main avenue, 18 de Julio, passing by different squares such as Plaza del Entrevero or Juan Pedro Fabini, Plaza Libertad or Cagancha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Montevideo City Hall, the Gaucho Monument, Plaza de los 33 Orientales, the National Library and the Faculty of Law, until we reach the Legislative Palace (Photo Stop).

We will continue to the Agricultural Market and, after a stop, we will head towards one of the main avenues, Avenida Blávar Artigas. We will see Plaza de la Democracia, the International and National Bus Terminal, and the Tres Cruces Shopping Mall. We will pass the Monument to the visit of Pope John Paul II, the Obelisk, until we reach the Monument to the Cart (Photo Stop). Then, we will go to the Centenario Stadium and arrive at Pocitos Beach, where we will take photos of the panoramic view of Montevideo (Photo Stop).

We will continue along the rambla, passing Plaza Virgilio to reach Rivera Street and the more well-known Arocena Street, in the city's most upscale neighborhood called Carrasco, with photo stops in front of the Sofitel Casino Carrasco Hotel. Afterwards, we will drop you off at Montevideo's most important gastronomic center, the Mercado del Puerto. If you wish to return directly to your hotels, the return trip is at your own expense.
