- Colonia del Sacramento Tour from Buenos Aires
Colonia del Sacramento is widely recognized as one of Uruguay's most charming cities. Founded in 1650 by the Portuguese, it was the site of numerous disputes, being conquered at various times by the Spanish.
This rich history of disputes and influences is reflected in its architecture, which combines elements of Portuguese and Spanish styles, resulting in a city with a unique colonial charm, as its name suggests.
During our visit, we'll explore the historic neighborhood, which has been declared a World Heritage Site, strolling through its cobblestone streets and admiring the beauty and historic atmosphere that make Colonia so special.
