Visit the Itaimbezinho Canyon in Aparados da Serra and the Fortaleza Canyon in Serra Geral, both in Cambará do Sul.
If you like nature tourism, these two places are natural gifts that surprise visitors with their biomes, hydrography, vegetation, fauna, geological formations and unique reliefs.
Its canyons and trails offer the best experiences. Together, the Parks total more than 30 thousand hectares and are distributed across the states of Rio Grande do Sul (upper part of the plateau) and Santa Catarina.
ITAIMBEZINHO
Location: Aparados da Serra National Park. Access in Cambará do Sul/RS (upper edges of the Itaimbezinho Canyon). Distance from the Center: 18 km on a dirt road.
Length: 5.8 km / Width: 2 km / Depth: 600m to 750m.
Attractions: Vértice Trail (estimated time to complete the trail: 1h30) and Cotovelo Trail (estimated time to complete the trail: 3 hours). A guide is suggested, but not mandatory. There is no minimum age to do these trails.
Support structure: ticket offices, parking, convenience stores, restrooms, signage, first aid station, security guards, firefighters, guest monitors.
STRENGTH
Location: Serra Geral National Park. Access in Cambará do Sul/RS. Distance from the Center: 23 km (partly on dirt road).
Length: 7.5 km / Depth: Up to 800 m.
Attractions: Pedra do Segredo Trail (estimated time to complete the trail: 1 hour), Mirante Trail (estimated time to complete the trail: 1 hour) and Borda Sul Trail (estimated time to complete the trail: 3 hours).
Guided assistance is suggested, but not mandatory. There is no minimum age to do the trails.

Opening days:
Itaimbezinho - Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays, except on holidays or the day before holidays). From 8am to 5pm (some trails have a limited start time, check in advance).
Fortaleza - Wednesday to Monday (closed on Tuesdays, except on holidays or the day before holidays). From 8am to 5pm (some trails have a limited start time, check in advance).
The ticket is sold per day and gives access to two visiting areas (Itaimbezinho and Fortaleza). Thus, it is possible to visit the two upper visiting areas (Itaimbezinho and Fortaleza), which are accessed via Cambará do Sul/RS, with the same ticket, as long as the visit takes place on the same day.
Itaimbezinho is located on RS 429, km 18, Cambará do Sul/RS.
Fortaleza is located on Highway CS-012, Cambará do Sul/RS.

- We recommend wearing hiking shoes and appropriate clothing for the activity, as well as bringing water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a raincoat and a warm coat (the temperature may vary throughout the day). You can also bring light snacks, such as sandwiches, fruit and cereal bars. We have convenience stores in the areas.
- It is important to dispose of the waste generated properly. Take bags to store the garbage until you find trash cans.
- There is no cell phone signal or internet available in the park area.

- Pets are not allowed in the parks.
- It is possible to visit the two upper visiting areas (Itaimbezinho and Fortaleza), which are accessed via Cambará do Sul/RS, with the same ticket, as long as the visit is made on the same day. If the visit is to occur on different days, it is necessary to purchase an additional day's ticket.
