The tour begins with a one-hour panoramic bus ride passing through beautiful cities such as Carmona, La Luisiana and La Carlota, to reach Córdoba, the city that was once the light of the world when it enjoyed the status of a caliphal city.
Córdoba offers a vast cultural and historical legacy. We'll begin our walking tour through Córdoba's wonderful Jewish Quarter, bustling with life and shops, and along iconic streets like the Callejón de las Flores, a delight for the senses, all the way to Plaza del Gran Maimónides, also including the Recoleta Synagogue. Next, we'll enter the beautiful Cathedral Mosque, a spectacular testament to the Caliphate era.
Once the guided tour is over, you'll have free time to stroll around, enjoy a traditional meal, or go shopping.
DESCRIPTION AS OF 2/13/25
We'll leave Seville and head to the town of Carmona, a whitewashed village that deserves a quick stop to admire its beauty. Here we'll also enjoy a coffee and use the convenient restrooms. After this brief stop, we'll continue to Córdoba, arriving after about an hour. Along the way, you'll admire the typical Andalusian landscape, dotted with olive trees. Once in Córdoba, we'll take a guided walking tour of the city's historic center.
We'll walk through the city's most important streets, passing the Roman Bridge, the Jewish Quarter, the Royal Stables, and the Córdoba Synagogue. We'll also take a short stroll through Córdoba's famous and colorful courtyards.
After exploring Córdoba's historic center, we'll take a break to enjoy Córdoba's cuisine, following our guide's recommendations, or enjoy your own lunch or picnic, if you prefer. You'll also have some free time for shopping.
After lunch, and to conclude the day's excursion, we'll visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, visitors will have plenty of time to admire this marvelous architectural monument, one of the greatest jewels of Andalusia's historical and architectural heritage.
After visiting the Mosque of Córdoba, we will return to the meeting point to board our transport that will take us back to Seville, where we will arrive after a journey of approximately one and a half hours.
