The adventure begins in Bariloche, heading east, following the course of the imposing Nahuel Huapi Lake to the source of the majestic Limay River. From there, the route skirts the lake's magical north shore, offering unforgettable views from the very first moment. The trail winds through the vast plains of the Patagonian steppe, dotted with large open spaces that evoke the essence of the region. As we advance, the landscape changes: upon reaching the Huemul Arm, the aromatic Cypress Forest offers a warm welcome, slowly transforming into the lush and vibrant Coihue Rainforest, creating a natural spectacle that enchants the senses. We leave the Huemul Arm behind and one of the region's most charming postcards opens before us: Manzano Bay, with its crystal-clear waters and dreamlike surroundings. The journey finally takes us to the picturesque Villa la Angostura, where we visit the local port, the historic El Mesidor Residence, the serene Selva Triste Lagoon, and the iconic La Asunción chapel, jewels that narrate the history and beauty of the place. Just 10 km from Villa la Angostura, the imposing Cerro Bayo, the region's exclusive ski resort, awaits us. From there, cable cars take us to the summit, affording stunning panoramic views and unique opportunities to capture the landscape's essence on camera. At Cerro Bayo, there's fun for the whole family. From riding a culiskate to enjoying skiing or snowboarding lessons, the options are endless and designed to provide an unforgettable experience.
