ITINERARY

Pick up from your hotel around 8 am.

We drove to the city of Caraz, which is located 70 km north of Huaraz, from here we began a gradual climb along a dirt road to Laguna Parón.

Before reaching the lagoon, we make a brief stop at the Parón checkpoint to pay the entrance fees.

Once at Lake Parón, you can enjoy the scenery and views. You can take a short hike to the Parón viewpoint for fantastic views of the lagoon and surrounding mountains. The trail has a steep climb, with the last rocky section reaching 4,300 meters. Take the opportunity to walk around the lagoon and observe the Andean wildlife. Its beautiful turquoise waters make this a stunning destination.

There is also the option of walking (approximately 40 minutes) along a nearly vertical zigzag path, some parts over rocks, to the viewpoint; a place from which you can observe the lagoon in its entirety.

After spending some time and taking lots of photos, we will return the same way to the city of Caraz and continue on to Huaraz.

We will return to Huaraz.
