Walk the same grounds where the Battle of Quinua took place, a pivotal event in Peru's struggle for independence. Wander through the ruins of the Wari civilization, delving into the mysteries of their advanced culture. This journey promises an enriching blend of heritage and adventure.
ITINERARY
We left Ayacucho, heading northeast of the city, to visit the Wari Archaeological Complex, known as the first Andean empire.
We will visit the Wari Site Museum, the Templo Mayor, and the underground chambers of the Monjachayuq and Cheqowasi neighborhoods.
Afterwards, we will visit the artisan workshop of the masters who will teach us the entire pottery process in the village of Quinua, a typical place with cobblestone streets and tiled roofs that give it a peculiar, attractive and welcoming appearance characterized by being purely pottery.
After lunch, which consists of typical Andean dishes.
We continue the tour to the Historic Sanctuary of Pampa de Ayacucho, where the battle of Ayacucho for the Independence of Peru and Latin America took place, the consequence of the war was the end of Spanish tyranny in South America.
You will also see the Obelisk which is 44 meters high.
Then return to the city. Notes: Reservations can be made up to the day before departure.
