We will travel to Salinas Grandes, a territory shared by Salta and Jujuy; the best way is to cross the province of Jujuy.
This way, you can enjoy the best landscapes at their best moment, where you will take incredible postcards!
We'll leave Salta through the city's central entrance via National Route 9 and enter the municipality of General Güemes via National Route 34. Later, we'll enter the sister province of Jujuy, where we'll have the opportunity to explore a small portion of the Quebrada de Humahuaca. We'll visit picturesque towns like Yala, Volcán, and Purmamarca, where we'll find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores (Seven Colors Hill). We'll enter the incredible Cuesta de Lipán, where we'll reach 4,170 meters above sea level and admire its spectacular flora and fauna. We'll arrive at Salinas Grandes, where we'll be able to appreciate its full magnitude and take the most beautiful and creative selfies.
We return to Purmamarca, where you can enjoy a lunch featuring the best regional dishes, especially llama meat, and explore the famous town of Purmamarca, with its picturesque, rustic streets and steep trails. Then, the return journey begins.
